Job Summary

Catalyst Marketing Agency is searching for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team. This role will be pivotal in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. Your time will be divided between prospecting, client engagement, and strategic planning to contribute to the agency’s overall success.


Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, social media, and industry events.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Research and stay updated on industry trends and market opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Understand client needs and propose tailored marketing solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.

Sales Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive proposals and deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on market trends and client needs to help refine our service offerings.

Negotiation and Closing:

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure new business deals.
  • Close sales and ensure seamless handover to the account management team for execution.
  • Manage expectations and maintain clear communication with clients throughout the sales process.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the marketing, creative, and account management teams to align sales strategies with client needs and company goals.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative marketing solutions for clients.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, including lead conversion rates, sales targets, and revenue generated.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the marketing or advertising industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills You’ll Need to be Successful

  • The ability to write persuasive, grammatically correct, and timely proposals and presentations.
  • Experience working collaboratively to iterate on sales strategies and proposals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client accounts and sales processes simultaneously.
  • Proven experience leveraging a wide range of project management and CRM software tools.
  • The ability to manage sales cycles and client workflows efficiently.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the marketing and advertising industry.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and derive actionable insights to optimize strategies.
  • Strong sense of organization and deadlines, especially in managing project details and deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently, take the lead, proactively manage, and drive various projects to completion.
  • Flexibility to communicate with global team members outside regular working hours.

Where the client has an existing creative vision, you must work tactfully to move the conversation forward, gaining both the client’s and the strategist’s buy-in.
